31st of January 2012

Oh what a mistake-a to make-a today by wearing tights. I learnt from previous failings and wore two pairs but even still it must be at least minus 50 celsius today (Exaggeration)

Of course, not just ANY tights! These are by Pamela Mann and I bought them from amazon.co.uk- bargain tights!

And decided on these shoes.

For a while I wasnt sure about leopard print- I like it, but I thought trannies always liked it too and I didnt know if i could pull it off. But I've given up caring what other people think, these shoes make me smile.

Well, they did make me smile until about 4 hours into wearing them and then it started to feel like someone was trying to remove my toes with pliers. They're not the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. But they're preeeeeeetty :)

I bought these late last year and they were in a special, one day event, sale. So I got them for approx 2 thirds the original price (or maybe 6 tenths?) they're still in stores now- they're by Dorothy Perkins but I've seen the same ones in Barratts too. I wasnt supposed to buy any more shoes that day. Whoooooops :)

I thought they deserved a close up. :)

Well you may recognise these shoes. These shoes are a naughy style copy.
Mr Louboutin made them first. (obviously with red soles) and then similar styles came out.
I tried to buy a copy of these online but I couldnt get shipping from the US. I searched everywhere for a good copy of the 600 euro Louboutin pair. Oh how I dreamed of these shoes.

And then I gave up.

And after I gave up I was wandering through the streets of Amsterdam (as you do) when I saw these in a shop window. Although teleportation is still not proven to be real, I am 100% sure I teleported into that store when I saw those. I dont remember breathing, let alone opening the door, going in etc. I thought they would be expensive. They werent. I picked myself up off the floor and used the very last of my disposable income to buy these (2 days before payday, whoops) but it was love. I skipped all the way home.

To this day I cant recall why I was even in that part of Amsterdam- It was near Waterlooplein. I also dont remember meeting anyone in Amsterdam after I'd been in that store. Maybe I did...? I just cant remember anything because the shoes have replaced all my memories. Must be like those thingies out of Men in Black... cant remember...

When you go shopping (e.g. clothes/christmas/item shopping- not grocery shopping) and you see women in 6 inch heels tottering around, what do you think? I alway, without a doubt, think 'Hats off girl friend' and 'bet your feet are killing you!'.

I have wondered for a long time how they do it. Whilst I love heels, and have even been known to walk 9 miles of a sponsored walk in heels (they werent stilettos or high, I'm not completely mad) I just cant shop in heels.

Despite trying.

So its probably no surprise that todays shoes ('sneakers') were bought in a 'I-cannot-take-another-step-in-these-heels' panic. I had gone out shopping. In an attempt to look effortlessly chic I wore low (and wide) heels. It didnt work, within the first 4 miles my feet were screaming with pain and I couldnt try any shoes on, on account of my feet having swollen up 2 sizes. It just wasnt working. So I bought these to prevent bunions, quit pretending I'm a celebrity that can shop in heels and finally, be able to try on shoes. (oh and walk!)

They're primarni specials, and very battered looking now but they're perfect in some ways. They slide easily into a handbag for emergency shoe situations, they're comfortable and they're cute monochrome leopard print. Bargains!

So I keep these for those days where I want to pretend I can walk miles in heels and know the second anyone I know turns their back, these will be out to save my toes!

PS, We all do it, its sensible.

28th of January 2012

Saturday morning did not start well... I got called at 6 by work. I then managed to cancel my alarm and miss Zumba. I then procrastinated for hours, ate loads of pasta and had to rush to get ready to visit a very good friend who lives in the middle of nowhere. Literally.

I also started to feel sorry for my shoes (Oh I know, eventually I'll get help for this and see a shrink) the idea behind the blog was to wear all of my shoes to prove that I do actually wear them. But by forever buying more, and only getting to wear one pair a day (apart from gym trainers, occassionally driving shoes and when my feet are going to break off) I'm letting them down. They may only get one wear this year...

Oh who am I kidding, it was a passing thought. They get worn, they're loved and they have a great mother, ME :)

So to visit my friend in the middle of nowhere I decided to go for boots over jeans. These boots I bought in Amsterdam. I was *almost* done for the day shopping (believe it or not I actually get tired sometimes of shopping) when I spotted these in the window of an expensive shop. I decided to have a look anyway, although I'd dismissed the idea of buying them as I knew they'd be too expensive.

By some bizairre twist of fate they were very reasonable!!! So I nabbed them before they realised their mistake and put the price back up.

I like to pretend I'm a celebrity when I wear these boots. Kim Kardashian or J-Lo. Or at least someone who ate KK and J-Lo and stole their shoes.

27th of January 2012

FRIDAY YAY! Friday was going to be a busy day and after falling asleep early on thursday night (and not getting ANYTHING done) I had a rushed morning to get everything ready that I needed to do. Phew! So I went for flats.

These trainers have a special place in my heart. I didnt get these when I first saw them and wanted them. For once in my life I asked myself 'when would you wear them' and I couldnt come up with an answer. I just wanted to look like Uma Thurman in kill bill. Hmmm. So I didnt get them.

BUT. I couldnt stop thinking about them. Or coming up with occassions when I could, or would, wear them.

I went back in a panic- would they be gone- would they only have a size 3 pair left? Nope, it was fate, my babies were still there. I was very tempted to wear them out of the shop and keep kicking up my feet going 'ooooooooh'.

They may be bright yellow trainers... but I love them and thats all that matters.

Keep smiling

26th of January 2012

After no planning on the 25th I decided to make a bit more of an effort on the 26th (starting with 2 pairs of tights, the weather is terrible in January!)

And you know me... they couldnt just be ANY old tights could they?! These lovelies have bows up the ankle, and a bow round the thigh, I have saved you from the photo of around the thigh ;)

It will come as no surprise where today's shoes came from...although for once I didnt get these from Luton airport! I, admittedly, did see them first in Luton airport, but they didnt have my size at the time, and also they were full price... lucky for me, by the time I got to the internet to order them they were in the sale! Yipppeeee :)

Aren't they beautiful?? :)
And yes, they are VERY high...

I love the colour of these, and the material is so lush. Oh and the pretty bow on the front of them :)

Believe it or not, these shoes are actually remarkably comfortable, the hidden platform and the angle of the heel make them not too steep (e.g. no crushed toes) and the frame is very soft and supple. Oh yes, these make the top 20. I love them :)

25th of January 2012

I didnt get proper chance to plan on wednesday the 25th. I was (unsurprisingly...) in a bit of a rush. I grabbed the nearest clothes (foolishly only putting on thin tights...) and spent about 5 minutes choosing a pair of shoes. I know, its a problem.

I chose some easy to walk in, comfortable shoes for the 25th. Pretty purple shoes, every girl needs at least one pair no?

Unfortunately they're a bit muddy in the photo due to the pap uk weather and me walking across the grass rather than the path. Lazy bones!
