29th of May 2012

29th of May 2012 Righty ho, so its been more than 3 months since my last blog and I have to admit I'm utterly ashamed of that. I have many reasons. But mainly one. So in March, I got offered a new job- the perfect job for me in fact... So I took it! But that meant my notice period would be spent mainly in the Netherlands. Not really a problem for the shoe a day thing... except that for some reason my mobile wouldnt work with the wireless and I couldnt upload any pictures for most of March. Which then meant I could potentially be spending April catching up. Except I started my new job then and I wanted to focus on that and was worn out from information overload. I then had May as an option and if I'm being honest, I got lazy. So today, 29th May 2012 I am vowing to re-ignite the flame of shoes and start blogging again. I'm not going to make any insane promises about updating daily. Lets face it, although I have no life, I might be busy or tired or maybe out. Or maybe wearing a repeat pair of shoes because I've had to (e.g. I have a meeting where I cant wear clown red shoes) so I'll update when I can until every pair of shoes I own have been written about. Hopefully this year :) Sound fair? Well its tough if it doesnt! :-P So today has been glorious weather again. Well- better than its been for a while but not as fab as the weather at the weekend. The lovely glorious sunshine has meant panic across the land where females across the nation have been forced to paint their toenails and bare their feet! For me this is the norm, I have been known to wear open toed shoes in January. (you know this) and I try to take relatively good care of my feet (I mean, I abuse them so much normally cramming them into stupid shoes and trotting about in stilts all day that I should really) so today it was only appropriate to join the nation with a pair of open toed wedges. All the benefit of the heel, with all the benefit of the air... breezy :P
The pictures a bit dingy and it looks like my professional pedicure (done last night last thing before bed so I wouldnt smudge them) is chipped, but its a reflection. Theres also too much foot on display for my liking. yuk! But here you go, this is todays shoes. I had teamed them with a lovely linen skirt and shirt. I then proceeded to spill smoothie on myself as if trying to shower in it... (as you do! grrr) so I had to make a quick change into a black skirt, shirt and waistcoat. It soooo didnt go. Oh well. It happens. Tomorrow IS another day. And I'm already planning ahead for those too :) Love always, Tishoo xx

16th of February 2012

Despite it only being Thursday, I woke up with that 'Friday' feeling and decided I'd wear ridiculously high shoes to work- why not :)

I bought these in Den Haag, the Netherlands. They were in the sale and I was instantly hooked on them. They're so sexy and shiny- I had to have them. So I did.

The first few times I wore these, I couldnt walk in them, however they now seem to be bizairrely comfortable!

But I do have to stop walking over the mud in them- they're far too high and shiney to be tainted with mud!!

And obviously with the addition of my favourite hoisery. :)

But still so VERY high...

Never one to let a disappointing day get me down I decided to keep the romance theme going with another pair of red shoes.

I didnt pay very much for these shoes but I do love them. They're a lovely bright red in a soft velvety texture. Very vivid. And they do make people smile (especially me)

So I wore these to the office in the hope that all my cards had been delivered to my desk in the UK. Sigh. Nothing. But at least I had my red shoes on :)

14th of February 2012

Valentines day, how romantic, how lovely, how disappointing I didnt get any cards!! :(

I spent the majority of the day working hard trying to get my mailbox emptied down (a no-win battle these days) and then went to the airport to get my nice romantic flight home. Still with no cards.

However, romance is not completely dead. I decided to go for a nice pair of red shoes- these shoes were what I wore to my Dads wedding a couple of years back (thats where the photos from actually) and they caused rather a stir in that my sister ended up taking a photo of my shoes and missing some of the vows. Whoops ;)

13th of February 2012

Well what a lovely way to start a day in Amsterdam- its pouring down with rain and leaving the floor all 'glad' (dutch for... slippery) and to top it off I've got rather a sore head this morning after indulging in one-too-many cocktails with a very good friend of mine (Thanks CC) but after getting caught out last time in Amsterdam with the clock and hour difference etc- I set my alarm very early so I could get to my course for 8.30am.

And after arriving at 8.15 I found out the course didnt start until 10.30. GRRRRRRAAAAAAARRRRGGHGGGGGGHHHHHH. So I had to sit around trying to work from my smart phone and get a few things taken care of, the whole time wishing I'd known and taken a few more hours to sleep!

I managed to get through the day and my brief stop at the shop on the way in meant I had enough water to undo the previous nights damage. Phew.

So all in good time to ... meet my brother for dinner!!! In a bizairre twist of fate my brother had decided he and his girlfriend would have a nice romantic trip to Amsterdam for valentines day. I dont think he was counting on his big sister also being there and tagging along. But thats what he got!

Now whilst I do love todays shoes, its with great sadness that I explain that they are in fact... the last of my converse. (well, so far) and these poor babies also need a jolly good wash. I wore new jeans with them once and it rained and the dye ran- I also spent a fair amount of time going through mud, snow and ice in these too so they're a bit wrecked, but nothing the washing machine wont fix. I hope...

And to prove I was in Amsterdam, look at the lovely bike and canal.;)

And back in the hotel I took another picture. My lovely, and rather bright... all stars :)

Yowsers what a day! I had to actually run today- I so very nearly missed my flight.
After getting 14:00 and 4pm muddled up... I ended up leaving the house very late for my flight. By the time I got onto the motorway I was only ever *just* going to make the flight- then there was an accident and I was further delayed. Then my bag was the only bag 'randomly' selected to do tests on- after having to wait behind a family with a baby who took approximately 9 years to get through the security gate. So when I finally got past security I pelted it down to the gate and just made it to get on the plane- Phew.
So thank goodness I'd decided on my 'easy-pack' flats for the airport- pack into a small space and mean I can rush about in flats.
Phew!

So the snow melted bit by bit and I decided to while away my weekend indoors cleaning. ;)
Saturday was a very busy day and I managed to just about rush and get my stuff ready for the trip to Amsterdam tomorrow. So easy living, but still with a bit of sparkle.

10th of February 2012

Well the cold weather has finally subsided to something a little more mild, its still cold, but not quite set-fire-to-anything-to-stay-warm cold. So the heels can safely come back out.

I had a few important things to do, so I needed to go for some smart shoes- and cue my bought-in-new-york-dont-you-know shoe boots. These shoe boots had no chance when I'd laid eyes on them. They're a very richy velvety fabric- the picture doesnt do them justice actually. (need to get better at taking pics :( ) and bizarrely they are very comfortable too.

I saw them in Macy's. Nooooo not just any Macy's. THE BIGGEST STORE IN THE WORLD. And I saw they were also in the sale. And also in my size and also paid for with a receipt before I'd blinked. Funny how moments like those in your life just happen. Teleportation... I'm sure of it.

9th of February 2012

Not one to let a bit of bad weather deter me, by the 9th I was ready to get back into the silly shoes category and wear shoes with holes in the side (they're supposed to be there by the way) although given the icey conditions on the pavements, a more sturdy heel than a stiletto was required today.

When I first got these shoes, they didnt look as they do today- they had black rubber looking laces in them. I didnt like the laces. So I replaced them with some pink ribbons :) I could replace them for a different colour when I feel like it too. How genius!

But I do love these shoe boots. They go with trousers or skirts. They dont really go with the socks in this picture- admittedly... but who cares. I quite like the socks in hindsight.

These shoes are getting to be worn out. I will have to have them reheeled when they finally break because I cannot bear to lose these shoes. I have a bizarre sentimental attachment to these shoes. I feel like I owned them in a previous life or something when I was a 50s siren. (I must have been) or maybe I was just destined to own them.

Anyway, they make me feel confident and happy. A good sign with a shoe.

Oh and Mr Louboutin made a v similar pair a couple of years ago (I've had these shoes much longer than that though) so I pretend he copied me. I've never seen these shoes on anyone else either. I must be unique. :)

8th of February 2012

Ok, OK I admit it. After my rather boastful claims that I could walk 'absolutely FIIIIINE' in yesterdays shoes, I did totter across the car park and slide, quite bambi like, into my own car door. No one saw. That I know of. And my feet were a bit chilly... (no pain no gain) so I thought I should wear some more sensible shoes today.

These boots, were from the closing down sale- they came in the pink box, they allowed enough room for 2 pairs of socks too! (well, a pair of tights and a pair of socks) they didnt go with my outfit, but my feet were not cold. Phew! And in honesty these boots were bought to replace another pair that have long been buried.

Many years ago, I was a 'helper' on a 68 mile walk! Fortunately I didnt have to walk 69 miles, however, I did have a similar pair of boots to these (heel a bit higher though) and I did walk part of the walk in these too... the 10 mile stretch... the hardest stretch too. I agreed to walk it to help jolly along the other walkers. I am, to this day, lucky to be alive. When you've already walked 40 miles and some hyperactive lunatic in high heels comes to walk 10 miles with you all the way saying 'oh its not much further, I can see the signs from here cant you' you do want to commit murder. The walk was also through the woods, so they could have disposed of the body very easily. But they didnt murder me. However the muddy, bumpy terrible, clay layden path did murder the boots. So I replaced them with these similar ones.

But I dont think i'll do a 10 mile walk in these. Although never say never.

Tishoo xx

Is it Winter? Really? I hadn't noticed (Holds up *SARCASM* board for Sheldon Cooper)
So its only appropriate I stick to my guns and wear totally inappropriate shoes for work.

Yes, there is still snow on the ground, yes, it is minus something outside, yes, there is a very good chance of slipping over and landing on my face. No, none of those things will stop me wearing silly shoes.

Whilst writing this blog, I've become almost painfully aware of how many pairs of shoes have appeared before my eyes when I'm either a) skint, or b) waiting for payday. This says 2 things to me. 1. I need to stop being skint. and 2. I need to stop living for payday.

I am going to do approximately nothing about the above 2 realisations. Well, unless buying a lotto ticket and crossing my fingers counts?! Or swearing I'll never have children so I dont literally become the old woman who lived in a shoe. (although I could design a house shaped as a shoe if the first plan comes to light... just a thought)

Anyway, these shoes (as if the above doesnt help give it away) appeared about a week before payday. In fact I had popped out on my lunch break to go to boots to buy a meal deal...(tight budget and all) and ended up going into Outfit (a large retail store) just to 'have a quick look'. Quick looks always end in disaster dont they!

So milling about and I see a woman bringing out some NEW SHOES for her display... I had to have a look at the new season stuff didnt I!!! And it was too late to back away I'd already seem them. I'd already fallen in love and I wasnt leaving without them. I asked her if I could try them on... now I wasnt intending to buy them. They werent in the sale and I didnt have any money left (thats a lie, I did, but I would have to go without food for a week if I spent said remaining cash) but the woman kindly pointed out they did student discount... I wasnt a student... however!!! I had a student card from the evening law course I'd been doing!!! AMAZING! So I'd get 15% off. Which was good because I contemplated distracting the security guard and pretending I'd walked in, in them. (I didnt, I am joking to get across the point of how badly I wanted them)

So I bought them. And when I got home I got told off because I shouldnt be buying shoes when I didnt have any money. (well I didnt pay with magic beans so I must have had some :-P ) but as if I care. I got to wear them out a few weeks later and I got lots of compliments in the club :)

I also now have a dress and a clutch bag that match the colours exactly so they were a good investment really...

Today I wore them with black trousers, a shirt the same colour as the pinkey/orange part and a black jumper and leg warmers- its still minus something outside!!

Let it snow...
Hmmm, might have been better if it didnt snow actually. I was supposed to be in Amsterdam today but due to the conditions on the road and the conditions at the airport, I didnt get my flight so I'm still in blighty, freezing my extremities off! So, into the office I go...

Arriving at the office it was clear that no one had been in to grit the car park... slidey! So I pulled into what roughly looked like a space (as it melted I realised I was bang smack in the middle of two spaces) and plodded into the office.

These boots... are probably the most expensive pair I own. In terms of inital layout cost at least. A very clever friend of mine helped me devise something sensible though- my CPW value. (Cost per wear) which means these boots are probably the best value for money I own.

I saw these boots in New York. I wanted them, instantly. I was in the Ugg Australia store on 5th Avenue (along with about 40 thousand other people) and I wanted these boots soooo badly. Unfortunately as I'd been in New York for a week by then, I'd spent up (in fact I'd spent over and brought out Mr Visa by then too) I couldnt justify them.... So I spent approximately 2 and half years after that day looking at the price of these babies to see if the price would go down. It didnt.

So in December when we got paid early for Christmas and I thought 'Oooh I've got loads of money' (which I didnt actually have- it was just early) I went and bought them. FINALLY, I shut up about the Kensington uggs!

I went to buy these boots when my Dutch and Australian friends were over to visit. My Australian friend was outraged by how much I had spent on them and that I'd just walked into the shop to get them without thinking about it. Little did he know I'd spent the last 2 and half years thinking about buying them!!

I did try them on though, I didnt just grab them off the shelf and go and pay. But my goodness if I'd had any doubts about spending so much they all vanished when I put one on my cold little socked foot. They are like putting your food into a pillow, or an angels hair. Soooo soft, sooo comfortable... so warm... The finest, softest leather on the outside, filled to bursting with the finest sheep wool (Merino) I was not leaving the store without them.

And as if I could anyway- they have buckles on them (buckles, bows, embellishments, I'm nothing if not consistent). And the love was born, the boots were bought, the bank account was emptied and then we went for lunch at Yo Sushi and I clung onto my bag for dear life. I was so happy that day. :D

In honesty I'm happy every time I have these on my feet. I sometimes apologise to the cow that died to make them, but I also thank that cow too, for giving me warm and most importantly DRY feet when I wear them. The problem with other ugg boots is they're not waterproof. Now whilst I wouldnt wade into the ocean in these, a rain storm does not have me diving into the nearest shop to shelter whilst it passes (unlike my other uggs).

I am fanatical about these boots. I keep them in their box and put the paper and mould back in them when they're stored. I've only had them a few months but I want them to last me forever.

If you're in doubt because of the price tag, buy them. They are simply...AMAZING.

And also I ran across the snow and didnt slip so HAPPY DAYS!

Love you ugg boots, really I do!

Love always, (and a lot of it today... ahhhh)

5th February 2012

Whats this? whats this? its covered everywhere, whats this? theres white things in the air, whats this? I cant believe my eyes I must be dreaming wake up jack this isnt fair!!! (Nightmare before Christmas)

Well Jack, this appears to be a lot of snow. A LOT of snow! Its very thick and covered everywhere!

Yippee she says (although her flight to Amsterdam was indeed cancelled due to the white stuff- charming)

The perfect day to stay in and paint your nails...

Well, I didnt exactly paint these. I stuck nail-ease stickers on which are brilliant, they work really well and dont peel up unlike some of the other brands. I did however use a Andrea Fullerton Flick and dot nail pen to outline some of the lips for a more funky look.

And of course I did not stay indoors when it was snowing!!!!! I dont think theres anyone in the UK that doesnt have a mini pang of excitement when it snows on a weekend. (maybe not the plough drivers?!)

I got my rubber duck moon/snow boots on and got my backside out to play in the snow like the rest of the nation. And my feet were toasy warm and dry. Perfect. :) (NB I tucked my trousers back into the boots after the photo was taken. I'm not *completely* mad.

The severe weather warnings are here! Its what we've all been waiting for... ITS GOING TO SNOOOOOOOOOW! And you can flipping well tell because its freezing outside and costing me a small fortune in heating too. So what better way to save myself money for shoes than WITH shoes??

When I visited New York, I really wanted some Ugg boots- boots with sheep fur (doh, wool) lining and sheep skin outers. I know they're not ethically the nicest boots you can buy but my god are they warm and comfortable! I dont know why I didnt buy any in New York but I had a mini obsession with getting myself some uggs and in the end, I ordered some online.

These are one of 3 pairs of Ugg boots I own- these are by the brand Emu and are filled with Merino wool. These are what I like to call the 'over the jeans' look and I wear these... over jeans. They're not waterproof (alas only splash proof) so not for jumping about in snow. However, since its completely dry and minus 5 (celcius) today, they're about perfect for this weather. My feet can stay warm and dry at 30 degrees.

So lets wait for the snow... :D

3rd of February 2012

Yesterday was a very VERY exciting day in the office. 6 large pink parcels arrived for me. 6 VERY pink parcels... Which when I unboxed some of them turned into 9 boxes... 6 of them containing something exciting.

Can you guess what it is yet??

HAHAHA of course it is, its shooooooooes! (and boots)

A company that I wont name online had to close down their UK branch, :( very sad, so they were selling off all their stock at LOW LOW prices. Not sad at all!!! So whilst I still had the chance I bought 6 pairs :D

The strange thing about shoes is everyones different tastes. A number of people got to see the contents of the boxes and all of them liked some pairs but disliked others- but not the same pairs. How odd. I suppose there will be some on the blog people dont like and other people will like them. (8th of January spring to mind as some that not many people WILL like)

Anyway, a popular pair were today's pair- and they're very popular with me too I have to say! They're very comfortable and a little bit naughty. They're also ribbed (tee hee) at the back to look a little Chanel-esque. They also (it has been pointed out- thanks RL) look like they're from a sci-fi film.

and of course due to the terrible weather- tights were required! Its been freeeezing again. Very cold, and due to snow!! Exciting :) (I have some more snow boots to wear) These are a little risque- I apologise if you're eating.

these are a copy of the Henry Holland/ Pretty Polly mock suspender tights, however I prefer these due to the bow :D

So I actually now look like an avatar in a warcraft game. Happy days (yes I did put clothes on as well)

Tishoo xx

2nd of February 2012

oh what terrible weather dares to wake me from my peaceful slumber today? Its frosty the flipping snowman and he hasnt brought any snow with him thats who!

In a major effort to not feel the cold (after the last few days of fer-Reezing) I opted for tights, leg warmers, thick socks and trousers. A classy combination some might say.

Others might say 'you're mad' and clean your muddy boots. Well they did actually.

and they'd be right because these boots really need cleaning now.
As you can see from the photo these are 'much loved' shoe boots- very comfy, easy to walk in and look great with trousers for work so the heel is starting to wear away a bit and they will need re-soleing soon :( poor things!

1st of February 2012

Oooh what a busy day the 1st of February was in the world of Tishoo. After rushing around like a mad woman to get some IMPORTANT things done, I got into the car to drive up to Daddios house to visit!

In a decision that may change my life forever, I opted to wear my Chav fancy dress outfit (ok, ok I dressed as a chav) hoody, adidas jogging bottoms (normally reserved for the gym ONLY) and these Ed Hardy rip offs. I dont think the decision changed my life. But they are mega comfy.

I bought these because of the woman down the side, no other reason! I thought they would look good with shorts in the summer. But I havent worn them in the summer yet!

Busy day was also a long day and I needed the comfort of these babies :)

31st of January 2012

Oh what a mistake-a to make-a today by wearing tights. I learnt from previous failings and wore two pairs but even still it must be at least minus 50 celsius today (Exaggeration)

Of course, not just ANY tights! These are by Pamela Mann and I bought them from amazon.co.uk- bargain tights!

And decided on these shoes.

For a while I wasnt sure about leopard print- I like it, but I thought trannies always liked it too and I didnt know if i could pull it off. But I've given up caring what other people think, these shoes make me smile.

Well, they did make me smile until about 4 hours into wearing them and then it started to feel like someone was trying to remove my toes with pliers. They're not the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. But they're preeeeeeetty :)

I bought these late last year and they were in a special, one day event, sale. So I got them for approx 2 thirds the original price (or maybe 6 tenths?) they're still in stores now- they're by Dorothy Perkins but I've seen the same ones in Barratts too. I wasnt supposed to buy any more shoes that day. Whoooooops :)

I thought they deserved a close up. :)

30th of January 2012

Well you may recognise these shoes. These shoes are a naughy style copy.
Mr Louboutin made them first. (obviously with red soles) and then similar styles came out.
I tried to buy a copy of these online but I couldnt get shipping from the US. I searched everywhere for a good copy of the 600 euro Louboutin pair. Oh how I dreamed of these shoes.

And then I gave up.

And after I gave up I was wandering through the streets of Amsterdam (as you do) when I saw these in a shop window. Although teleportation is still not proven to be real, I am 100% sure I teleported into that store when I saw those. I dont remember breathing, let alone opening the door, going in etc. I thought they would be expensive. They werent. I picked myself up off the floor and used the very last of my disposable income to buy these (2 days before payday, whoops) but it was love. I skipped all the way home.

To this day I cant recall why I was even in that part of Amsterdam- It was near Waterlooplein. I also dont remember meeting anyone in Amsterdam after I'd been in that store. Maybe I did...? I just cant remember anything because the shoes have replaced all my memories. Must be like those thingies out of Men in Black... cant remember...

29th of January 2012

When you go shopping (e.g. clothes/christmas/item shopping- not grocery shopping) and you see women in 6 inch heels tottering around, what do you think? I alway, without a doubt, think 'Hats off girl friend' and 'bet your feet are killing you!'.

I have wondered for a long time how they do it. Whilst I love heels, and have even been known to walk 9 miles of a sponsored walk in heels (they werent stilettos or high, I'm not completely mad) I just cant shop in heels.

Despite trying.

So its probably no surprise that todays shoes ('sneakers') were bought in a 'I-cannot-take-another-step-in-these-heels' panic. I had gone out shopping. In an attempt to look effortlessly chic I wore low (and wide) heels. It didnt work, within the first 4 miles my feet were screaming with pain and I couldnt try any shoes on, on account of my feet having swollen up 2 sizes. It just wasnt working. So I bought these to prevent bunions, quit pretending I'm a celebrity that can shop in heels and finally, be able to try on shoes. (oh and walk!)

They're primarni specials, and very battered looking now but they're perfect in some ways. They slide easily into a handbag for emergency shoe situations, they're comfortable and they're cute monochrome leopard print. Bargains!

So I keep these for those days where I want to pretend I can walk miles in heels and know the second anyone I know turns their back, these will be out to save my toes!

Love always,
Tishoo xx

PS, We all do it, its sensible.

28th of January 2012

Saturday morning did not start well... I got called at 6 by work. I then managed to cancel my alarm and miss Zumba. I then procrastinated for hours, ate loads of pasta and had to rush to get ready to visit a very good friend who lives in the middle of nowhere. Literally.

I also started to feel sorry for my shoes (Oh I know, eventually I'll get help for this and see a shrink) the idea behind the blog was to wear all of my shoes to prove that I do actually wear them. But by forever buying more, and only getting to wear one pair a day (apart from gym trainers, occassionally driving shoes and when my feet are going to break off) I'm letting them down. They may only get one wear this year...

Oh who am I kidding, it was a passing thought. They get worn, they're loved and they have a great mother, ME :)

So to visit my friend in the middle of nowhere I decided to go for boots over jeans. These boots I bought in Amsterdam. I was *almost* done for the day shopping (believe it or not I actually get tired sometimes of shopping) when I spotted these in the window of an expensive shop. I decided to have a look anyway, although I'd dismissed the idea of buying them as I knew they'd be too expensive.

By some bizairre twist of fate they were very reasonable!!! So I nabbed them before they realised their mistake and put the price back up.

I like to pretend I'm a celebrity when I wear these boots. Kim Kardashian or J-Lo. Or at least someone who ate KK and J-Lo and stole their shoes.

27th of January 2012

FRIDAY YAY! Friday was going to be a busy day and after falling asleep early on thursday night (and not getting ANYTHING done) I had a rushed morning to get everything ready that I needed to do. Phew! So I went for flats.

These trainers have a special place in my heart. I didnt get these when I first saw them and wanted them. For once in my life I asked myself 'when would you wear them' and I couldnt come up with an answer. I just wanted to look like Uma Thurman in kill bill. Hmmm. So I didnt get them.

BUT. I couldnt stop thinking about them. Or coming up with occassions when I could, or would, wear them.

I went back in a panic- would they be gone- would they only have a size 3 pair left? Nope, it was fate, my babies were still there. I was very tempted to wear them out of the shop and keep kicking up my feet going 'ooooooooh'.

They may be bright yellow trainers... but I love them and thats all that matters.

Keep smiling
Love always,
Tishoo xx

26th of January 2012

After no planning on the 25th I decided to make a bit more of an effort on the 26th (starting with 2 pairs of tights, the weather is terrible in January!)

And you know me... they couldnt just be ANY old tights could they?! These lovelies have bows up the ankle, and a bow round the thigh, I have saved you from the photo of around the thigh ;)

It will come as no surprise where today's shoes came from...although for once I didnt get these from Luton airport! I, admittedly, did see them first in Luton airport, but they didnt have my size at the time, and also they were full price... lucky for me, by the time I got to the internet to order them they were in the sale! Yipppeeee :)

Aren't they beautiful?? :)
And yes, they are VERY high...

I love the colour of these, and the material is so lush. Oh and the pretty bow on the front of them :)

Believe it or not, these shoes are actually remarkably comfortable, the hidden platform and the angle of the heel make them not too steep (e.g. no crushed toes) and the frame is very soft and supple. Oh yes, these make the top 20. I love them :)

Tishoo xx

25th of January 2012

I didnt get proper chance to plan on wednesday the 25th. I was (unsurprisingly...) in a bit of a rush. I grabbed the nearest clothes (foolishly only putting on thin tights...) and spent about 5 minutes choosing a pair of shoes. I know, its a problem.

I chose some easy to walk in, comfortable shoes for the 25th. Pretty purple shoes, every girl needs at least one pair no?

Unfortunately they're a bit muddy in the photo due to the pap uk weather and me walking across the grass rather than the path. Lazy bones!

As if food poisoning wasnt bad enough, today I woke up coughing and sneezing. Some nasty germs have decided they want to live with me for a bit (they were lured in by the shoes probably) so I was none too happy when my alarm went off this morning!

I decided to go for some 'easy-to-wear' shoes, to assist me with the pain of being awake and snivelly so I picked out my Michael Kors wedges. Very high, but flat. (in a fashion) and extremely comfortable! (I really do mean that, and not in a girl way!!)

I love these shoes. I saw them glittering away from a distance. The velvet is so dark and creamy and the zippers have a glitter effect. Heavenly. I barely even looked at the price tag after I'd tried these on- I WAS HAVING THEM!

I teamed them with some socks that will come up again- these socks (of which I have several pairs) give shoes a very 'autumn 2011 Christian Louboutin' look in my humble opinion! And I love the socks. (or knee high stockings)

so here we go...

Here are the zips (I love the right foot in this pic for some reason)you can also see the heel height in these, and the slimline wedge at the back. Details, details. Love these shoes.

And here is the hoisery!

And today I'll leave you with this picture- that made me laugh hysterically! (Thanks DB) a friend posted it on my facebook wall with the comments '4 shoes for 2012' and 'saw this and thought of you' its so cute I had to share it on the blog :)

23rd of January 2012

After a VERY productive Sunday, I decided to try and plan ahead for the week. This lasted a whole 4.2 minutes before I decided I wanted to put a picture up and generally faff about. (I'd been to the gym, I deserved faff time) I did, however, manage to put some of my clean washing away, which in turn meant I landed on the tights I'd decided I was going to wear on Monday.

Now I realise tights does not an outfit make (as some of the pictures I'm about to put on here will prove) but it was a start. I ended up in a mulberry/wine coloured dress and these beauties...

I first saw these shoes (as with many others) on another woman. She walked into the canteen where I worked and with Barry White music playing in my head I stared at her feet- utterly in love. I was probably drooling! She was wearing them in a grey to black colour but I loved the ribbons and how tall they made her! I needed them.

Having spent a good 2 minutes staring at her I decided not to creep her out any further by actually talking to her... so I waited. Eventually (a day later) I stumbled across them in Kurt Geiger. (for once, NOT in Luton airport!) they were by Carvela and they came in Red and Turquoise too... nnnnyyyargh.

Being in a financial situation of torment (in the process of moving countries) I decided I couldnt afford their hefty price tag. Mind you I probably reduced the value of them somewhat with the drooling I did over them every time I walked past them.

A few weeks later I was busy working away when the postman turned up with a very large box. (like a house moving box size) he asked for my swipe card (entry card to the buildings) so he could sign my parcel over to me. Hmmmm I didnt order anything (I protested? Why!) he informed me, its got your name on it love!

Excited but confused I ripped the box open. There was nothing in it?! I sifted through the polystyrene 8s and my hand landed on something solid... another box. I pulled the box out and squealed so loud a full meeting room of people came out to see what was going on.

"SOMEONES SENT ME SHOES IN THE POST" I was so happy I nearly cried. It was the Carvela shoes I'd been dreaming about. :) And they were for me :) In Red. What a lovely surprise!

And so the babies were finally mine. A congratulations present for getting a job in the Netherlands. Best friends ever (who encourage my habit!) These shoes are definitely in the top 20.

So on Monday 23rd of January 2012 I decided to team them with some naughty tights. I like these tights because you cant tell they're naughty at the first glance (because my dress was knee length) but when you walk you get a sneak peak. And when I take a photo of my legs in just the tights you get an eyeful ;) (apologies to viewers of a nervous disposition)

So those are my tights. Primarni specials (as per the majority of my tights- I tend to ladder or rip them after a few wears so I cant justify spending a fortune on them)

And that was Monday 23rd of January 2012. A rather fun day all in all. Finished with a curry out with work colleagues and a waddle home after eating far FAR too much. oh well :)

Diet starts tomorrow...

22nd of January 2012

Sunday. Believe it or not, I was up, showered, dressed and out of the door before noon today! OK, so I was trying to catch breakfast out but thats not the point. The point is, I had a whole sunday today :)

Now today's shoes (boots) seemed like a good idea at the time but they're very high... and a little difficult to walk in. However, I made it and although I'm not sure I'd like to have driven a car in these, I can now walk in them. Success.

I saw these shoes on a girl in a shopping centre actually- she had the ankle boot version- and I really wanted them. She was too far away to ask so I spent ages googling about until I found something similar. Tada! I found these. And knee high too :)

Unfortunately I was put off wearing them for a while as a week after they'd arrived... I saw a lady of the night wearing them! (for non english readers, a lady of the night is a prostitute) I have prostitute boots!!! :( so I didnt wear them for ages.

Eventually I got over it and decided she was actually a high class call girl and not a cheap hoe and that she had good taste. Oh and she didnt have a jacket that sort of matched so she wasnt quite as cool as me. Word.

Anyway I can accept that not only are these boots seh-lut-tay, so is the pose I'm pulling. But you know what, who cares, I love prancing about in these :)
