31st of January 2012

Oh what a mistake-a to make-a today by wearing tights. I learnt from previous failings and wore two pairs but even still it must be at least minus 50 celsius today (Exaggeration)

Of course, not just ANY tights! These are by Pamela Mann and I bought them from amazon.co.uk- bargain tights!

And decided on these shoes.

For a while I wasnt sure about leopard print- I like it, but I thought trannies always liked it too and I didnt know if i could pull it off. But I've given up caring what other people think, these shoes make me smile.

Well, they did make me smile until about 4 hours into wearing them and then it started to feel like someone was trying to remove my toes with pliers. They're not the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. But they're preeeeeeetty :)

I bought these late last year and they were in a special, one day event, sale. So I got them for approx 2 thirds the original price (or maybe 6 tenths?) they're still in stores now- they're by Dorothy Perkins but I've seen the same ones in Barratts too. I wasnt supposed to buy any more shoes that day. Whoooooops :)

I thought they deserved a close up. :)

Well you may recognise these shoes. These shoes are a naughy style copy.
Mr Louboutin made them first. (obviously with red soles) and then similar styles came out.
I tried to buy a copy of these online but I couldnt get shipping from the US. I searched everywhere for a good copy of the 600 euro Louboutin pair. Oh how I dreamed of these shoes.

And then I gave up.

And after I gave up I was wandering through the streets of Amsterdam (as you do) when I saw these in a shop window. Although teleportation is still not proven to be real, I am 100% sure I teleported into that store when I saw those. I dont remember breathing, let alone opening the door, going in etc. I thought they would be expensive. They werent. I picked myself up off the floor and used the very last of my disposable income to buy these (2 days before payday, whoops) but it was love. I skipped all the way home.

To this day I cant recall why I was even in that part of Amsterdam- It was near Waterlooplein. I also dont remember meeting anyone in Amsterdam after I'd been in that store. Maybe I did...? I just cant remember anything because the shoes have replaced all my memories. Must be like those thingies out of Men in Black... cant remember...

When you go shopping (e.g. clothes/christmas/item shopping- not grocery shopping) and you see women in 6 inch heels tottering around, what do you think? I alway, without a doubt, think 'Hats off girl friend' and 'bet your feet are killing you!'.

I have wondered for a long time how they do it. Whilst I love heels, and have even been known to walk 9 miles of a sponsored walk in heels (they werent stilettos or high, I'm not completely mad) I just cant shop in heels.

Despite trying.

So its probably no surprise that todays shoes ('sneakers') were bought in a 'I-cannot-take-another-step-in-these-heels' panic. I had gone out shopping. In an attempt to look effortlessly chic I wore low (and wide) heels. It didnt work, within the first 4 miles my feet were screaming with pain and I couldnt try any shoes on, on account of my feet having swollen up 2 sizes. It just wasnt working. So I bought these to prevent bunions, quit pretending I'm a celebrity that can shop in heels and finally, be able to try on shoes. (oh and walk!)

They're primarni specials, and very battered looking now but they're perfect in some ways. They slide easily into a handbag for emergency shoe situations, they're comfortable and they're cute monochrome leopard print. Bargains!

So I keep these for those days where I want to pretend I can walk miles in heels and know the second anyone I know turns their back, these will be out to save my toes!

Tishoo xx

PS, We all do it, its sensible.

28th of January 2012

Saturday morning did not start well... I got called at 6 by work. I then managed to cancel my alarm and miss Zumba. I then procrastinated for hours, ate loads of pasta and had to rush to get ready to visit a very good friend who lives in the middle of nowhere. Literally.

I also started to feel sorry for my shoes (Oh I know, eventually I'll get help for this and see a shrink) the idea behind the blog was to wear all of my shoes to prove that I do actually wear them. But by forever buying more, and only getting to wear one pair a day (apart from gym trainers, occassionally driving shoes and when my feet are going to break off) I'm letting them down. They may only get one wear this year...

Oh who am I kidding, it was a passing thought. They get worn, they're loved and they have a great mother, ME :)

So to visit my friend in the middle of nowhere I decided to go for boots over jeans. These boots I bought in Amsterdam. I was *almost* done for the day shopping (believe it or not I actually get tired sometimes of shopping) when I spotted these in the window of an expensive shop. I decided to have a look anyway, although I'd dismissed the idea of buying them as I knew they'd be too expensive.

By some bizairre twist of fate they were very reasonable!!! So I nabbed them before they realised their mistake and put the price back up.

I like to pretend I'm a celebrity when I wear these boots. Kim Kardashian or J-Lo. Or at least someone who ate KK and J-Lo and stole their shoes.

FRIDAY YAY! Friday was going to be a busy day and after falling asleep early on thursday night (and not getting ANYTHING done) I had a rushed morning to get everything ready that I needed to do. Phew! So I went for flats.

These trainers have a special place in my heart. I didnt get these when I first saw them and wanted them. For once in my life I asked myself 'when would you wear them' and I couldnt come up with an answer. I just wanted to look like Uma Thurman in kill bill. Hmmm. So I didnt get them.

BUT. I couldnt stop thinking about them. Or coming up with occassions when I could, or would, wear them.

I went back in a panic- would they be gone- would they only have a size 3 pair left? Nope, it was fate, my babies were still there. I was very tempted to wear them out of the shop and keep kicking up my feet going 'ooooooooh'.

They may be bright yellow trainers... but I love them and thats all that matters.

Keep smiling

26th of January 2012

After no planning on the 25th I decided to make a bit more of an effort on the 26th (starting with 2 pairs of tights, the weather is terrible in January!)

And you know me... they couldnt just be ANY old tights could they?! These lovelies have bows up the ankle, and a bow round the thigh, I have saved you from the photo of around the thigh ;)

It will come as no surprise where today's shoes came from...although for once I didnt get these from Luton airport! I, admittedly, did see them first in Luton airport, but they didnt have my size at the time, and also they were full price... lucky for me, by the time I got to the internet to order them they were in the sale! Yipppeeee :)

Aren't they beautiful?? :)
And yes, they are VERY high...

I love the colour of these, and the material is so lush. Oh and the pretty bow on the front of them :)

Believe it or not, these shoes are actually remarkably comfortable, the hidden platform and the angle of the heel make them not too steep (e.g. no crushed toes) and the frame is very soft and supple. Oh yes, these make the top 20. I love them :)

25th of January 2012

I didnt get proper chance to plan on wednesday the 25th. I was (unsurprisingly...) in a bit of a rush. I grabbed the nearest clothes (foolishly only putting on thin tights...) and spent about 5 minutes choosing a pair of shoes. I know, its a problem.

I chose some easy to walk in, comfortable shoes for the 25th. Pretty purple shoes, every girl needs at least one pair no?

Unfortunately they're a bit muddy in the photo due to the pap uk weather and me walking across the grass rather than the path. Lazy bones!

24th of January 2012

As if food poisoning wasnt bad enough, today I woke up coughing and sneezing. Some nasty germs have decided they want to live with me for a bit (they were lured in by the shoes probably) so I was none too happy when my alarm went off this morning!

I decided to go for some 'easy-to-wear' shoes, to assist me with the pain of being awake and snivelly so I picked out my Michael Kors wedges. Very high, but flat. (in a fashion) and extremely comfortable! (I really do mean that, and not in a girl way!!)

I love these shoes. I saw them glittering away from a distance. The velvet is so dark and creamy and the zippers have a glitter effect. Heavenly. I barely even looked at the price tag after I'd tried these on- I WAS HAVING THEM!

I teamed them with some socks that will come up again- these socks (of which I have several pairs) give shoes a very 'autumn 2011 Christian Louboutin' look in my humble opinion! And I love the socks. (or knee high stockings)

so here we go...

Here are the zips (I love the right foot in this pic for some reason)you can also see the heel height in these, and the slimline wedge at the back. Details, details. Love these shoes.

And here is the hoisery!

And today I'll leave you with this picture- that made me laugh hysterically! (Thanks DB) a friend posted it on my facebook wall with the comments '4 shoes for 2012' and 'saw this and thought of you' its so cute I had to share it on the blog :)

23rd of January 2012

After a VERY productive Sunday, I decided to try and plan ahead for the week. This lasted a whole 4.2 minutes before I decided I wanted to put a picture up and generally faff about. (I'd been to the gym, I deserved faff time) I did, however, manage to put some of my clean washing away, which in turn meant I landed on the tights I'd decided I was going to wear on Monday.

Now I realise tights does not an outfit make (as some of the pictures I'm about to put on here will prove) but it was a start. I ended up in a mulberry/wine coloured dress and these beauties...

I first saw these shoes (as with many others) on another woman. She walked into the canteen where I worked and with Barry White music playing in my head I stared at her feet- utterly in love. I was probably drooling! She was wearing them in a grey to black colour but I loved the ribbons and how tall they made her! I needed them.

Having spent a good 2 minutes staring at her I decided not to creep her out any further by actually talking to her... so I waited. Eventually (a day later) I stumbled across them in Kurt Geiger. (for once, NOT in Luton airport!) they were by Carvela and they came in Red and Turquoise too... nnnnyyyargh.

Being in a financial situation of torment (in the process of moving countries) I decided I couldnt afford their hefty price tag. Mind you I probably reduced the value of them somewhat with the drooling I did over them every time I walked past them.

A few weeks later I was busy working away when the postman turned up with a very large box. (like a house moving box size) he asked for my swipe card (entry card to the buildings) so he could sign my parcel over to me. Hmmmm I didnt order anything (I protested? Why!) he informed me, its got your name on it love!

Excited but confused I ripped the box open. There was nothing in it?! I sifted through the polystyrene 8s and my hand landed on something solid... another box. I pulled the box out and squealed so loud a full meeting room of people came out to see what was going on.

"SOMEONES SENT ME SHOES IN THE POST" I was so happy I nearly cried. It was the Carvela shoes I'd been dreaming about. :) And they were for me :) In Red. What a lovely surprise!

And so the babies were finally mine. A congratulations present for getting a job in the Netherlands. Best friends ever (who encourage my habit!) These shoes are definitely in the top 20.

So on Monday 23rd of January 2012 I decided to team them with some naughty tights. I like these tights because you cant tell they're naughty at the first glance (because my dress was knee length) but when you walk you get a sneak peak. And when I take a photo of my legs in just the tights you get an eyeful ;) (apologies to viewers of a nervous disposition)

So those are my tights. Primarni specials (as per the majority of my tights- I tend to ladder or rip them after a few wears so I cant justify spending a fortune on them)

And that was Monday 23rd of January 2012. A rather fun day all in all. Finished with a curry out with work colleagues and a waddle home after eating far FAR too much. oh well :)

Diet starts tomorrow...

22nd of January 2012

Sunday. Believe it or not, I was up, showered, dressed and out of the door before noon today! OK, so I was trying to catch breakfast out but thats not the point. The point is, I had a whole sunday today :)

Now today's shoes (boots) seemed like a good idea at the time but they're very high... and a little difficult to walk in. However, I made it and although I'm not sure I'd like to have driven a car in these, I can now walk in them. Success.

I saw these shoes on a girl in a shopping centre actually- she had the ankle boot version- and I really wanted them. She was too far away to ask so I spent ages googling about until I found something similar. Tada! I found these. And knee high too :)

Unfortunately I was put off wearing them for a while as a week after they'd arrived... I saw a lady of the night wearing them! (for non english readers, a lady of the night is a prostitute) I have prostitute boots!!! :( so I didnt wear them for ages.

Eventually I got over it and decided she was actually a high class call girl and not a cheap hoe and that she had good taste. Oh and she didnt have a jacket that sort of matched so she wasnt quite as cool as me. Word.

Anyway I can accept that not only are these boots seh-lut-tay, so is the pose I'm pulling. But you know what, who cares, I love prancing about in these :)

Tishoo xx

21st of January 2012

Yippee the weekend!

Well, part of it... after I spent most of saturday sleeping or watching TV, I decided it was about time to get some fresh air and space between my ass and the sofa. Also as food was becoming a priority and I'd spent the last of my food shopping money on shoes in Luton (!!) I thought I'd have to take advantage of one of the budget local eateries.

Bring on the all you can eat chinese buffet. No dress code (unlike the Indian down the road, its brilliant and great food but they have a dress code- really?, its a take away as well!) and a quick stop at Wetherspoons on the way down- and they seriously dont have a dress code. Unless its 'dont wear that in here it will get wrecked' :) you have to laugh. (Love you Wetherspoons, as do all your punters but even you can admit there is no dress code)

And for the third time in January I'm wearing converse!!! You may be pleased to hear I've almost run out of converse now! Its not supposed to be an allstars blog! But I do love an allstar and these are some old favourites.

The lack of laces is what attracted me to these, and then I saw they were made for the AIDS charities so I had to have them- its for CHARITY! You may notice if you look closely (not that closely, I've worn these a few times and they're filthy) that each word written on these ends in RED. For the AIDS foundation. There was a time where there were t-shirts, badges etc with RED on them. inspiRED for example.

I dont want to offend anyone here but, I think its important to state the obvious- AIDS is the most terrible thing I could ever even think of catching. At least with (for example) cancer there is sometimes a chance of survival- there is no second chance with aids. But unlike cancer there are preventions. So please, please practise safe sex, dont share needles and be careful where you can.

20th of January 2012

Ahhhh Friday. And what better way to spend a friday than tired, mildly jetlagged (yeah I'm using that word, theres a time difference and its tiring travelling) and feeling grotty from eating junk outside of your normal eating routine the previous day. Joys!

So its not much wonder why I didnt really feel like getting massively dressed up and doing a fanfare. If it werent for the fact I would have scared people and probably been arrested, I wouldnt have bothered getting dressed at all. I like my panda pyjamas and uggs boots. :)

Ok, I'm exaggerating slightly, I didnt feel that bad at all. But I also didnt really think about getting dressed too much when I did. So the shoes for the 20th are flat, easy to walk in and comfy.

I bought these ballet pumps (with actually a rather sturdy sole) in Dordrecht, The Netherlands. I dont remember the name of the shop but I remember these were the last pair, and as they were in my size too, I nabbed them. I thought they were very cute and would look good with shorts in the summer or jeans in spring/autumn. And now look at me, wearing them in winter too. Hurrah!

19th of January 2012

Yawn, earliest start EVER in Amsterdam. Being an hour ahead meant losing an hours sleep. Plus the training started at 8.30am which meant leaving the hotel around 7.30. Plus checking out of the hotel. Oh and breakfast.

I finally arrived at the training at 8.35 after missing breakfast, running for a tram, missing the metro, and finally running from the metro station to the office. PHEW! I dont think I did too badly considering I had my 'hand luggage' (ahem) and new shoe-purchase in tow.

Of course me, being me, erupted into the training in my usual manner- I had no electric swipe key for the office, so had to ring the bell, then I made a lot of noise. Oh and I was late. But hey, I like to make a lasting impression :S haha! Then I pulled my breakfast out that I'd managed to grab when I missed the metro, which made even more noise and MESS. Croissant madam? Doh!

So really it was a darned good job I'd worn the right shoes today. I could not have tottered about at the tram stop in heels (oh it was raining too- my favourite- NOT!) and as the training was a lot to do with ones self (we learnt about how we interact with each other and our own management styles etc) I wore my personality on my sleeve. Or Feet, as it were.

Hey now, you're an all star, get your game on...

Yep, more Allstars. But again, not just any allstars.

These allstars are my own design. On the converse website you can design your own allstars, then converse make them for you and for the very reasonable price of 66 pounds (for mine, other styles may vary) deliver them to your door.

Imagine my excitement at having my own design delivered. (Yes thats right, not even dogs could hear the squeals!)

One of my nicknames is Tushie. Based on my real name and my backside. Its a compliment I'm ASSured. ;) heh heh

They have cupcakes in the lining :) (sadly not scented or edible)

I could rave about these shoes all night. I love them. Some people hate them, but I made them for me. Or rather converse did upon my specification. Oh Converse how I love you so. If only other shoe people could follow suit! Or maybe I should bring out my own range instead :D

On that note, I'll shut up about MY allstars. But I do love wearing these ones and I will make sure to look after them too.

Love always, and a special kiss and hug for Converse today,
Tishoo xx

18th of January 2012

Well what a busy day! Among the usual 4982 things I had to do on the 18th, I had the added bonus of needing to pack an overnight bag (complete with stupid minatures in a sandwich bag-for the hand luggage regulations) and jet off to Amsterdam for a days training on the 19th of Jan. Sigh.

I had an important meeting in the morning, so I decided better to dress relatively smartly so todays shoes are rather plain, but still say something. They're sleek, shiny and sexy. (well I think so anyway)

About a year ago, my failsafe black 'Mary Janes' broke beyond repair so I became stuck for a pair of 'important meeting/funeral/bank appointment' type shoes. I wasnt particularly looking for any when I found these (I figured one of the other pairs of black shoes I've got would work) but I stumbled upon them in TKMaxx of all places.

They're actually made by Carvela and a few weeks later I saw them in my Nemesis store...

The second pictures a little blurred but you probably dont want a close up of my worn out piggies anyway

Now on my travels, to Amsterdam... I had to pass through... yes thats right, Luton airport. And what, boys and girls, do we have lurking in Luton airport? Well done, gold star, you got it- a Kurt Geiger store.

Now you wont believe me, but I really DID try to avoid this store. I milled about looking at sunglasses, tried on a few handbags (yes, you can, of course, try on handbags) I even looked at gadgets in dixons or currys digital or whatever its called (like I care?!) but the whole time I could hear 'sale, sale, sale' calling me... so I decided hey, what the hell, I'll just HAVE A LOOK.

And would you believe it. I got to have a look at a pair all the way to Amsterdam and all the way back. WHOOPS.

Even as I type tonight I can still look at those little babies. But you, my lovely blog readers, will have to wait to see what little miss tishoo spent her last remaining food money on.

Tee hee!

17th of January 2012

Tuesday! I had a little bit of trouble waking up this morning. I managed to snooze my alarm several times in my sleep. It has nothing to do with today's shoes but I thought I'd share my inability to wake up anyway.

So bleary eyed and tired I decided to go for some bright and cheerful springtime shoes.

These shoes, as with many of my shoes... came from .... you guessed it, Kurt Geiger in Luton airport!

It was my first business trip with the company I work for. My boss and I went to a meeting in the UK (I was living in the Netherlands at the time) obviously, not being one to let an opportunity pass me by... I took the time in the airport not to get a coffee, or a sandwich, but to shop for shoes. I think my new boss (I'd worked for him for 3 weeks) immediately got the measure of me in that moment. Known each other for 3 weeks- my boss! and I drag him into a shoe shop and get him to hold my laptop bag whilst I try them on. Ha!

In my defence, green is my favourite colour, and...I like bows as well so as my heart actually did skip a beat when I saw these, it was a well justified risk to take. And we look back and laugh on that moment now (now that he knows exactly HOW shoe mad I am as well) I restrained myself enough to not buy them in red and black too- I dont know how, but I was strong. :D

Despite the cold, they still put a 'Spring' in my step (ooohhh sorry bad pun) and my matching coat and top cheered me up no end too. Lovely, lovely green and bows teeheeheehee I'm a lunatic arent I!

Keep smiling

Love always,
Tishoo xx

Monday, back in the office and BRRRRR has it turned cold in Blighty this weekend. Time to bring out the tights. And with all good tights, you should wear good shoes.

Mondays choice of boots are naughty- they're a copy of a Christian Louboutin pair, and also an almost exact replica of a Guess pair (down to the detailling on the buttons) Victoria Beckham (LOVE her!) wore the Louby pair (she is my idol, Victoria Poppins as far as I'm concerned- practically perfect in every way) the only difference between the guess pair and these is that these have a red sole (so Louboutin!) I dont think Guess would have got away with that copyright infringement...

I saw these in a shop in Utrecht, the Netherlands. My friend and I had decided to try out the shops there to see what we could find. This happened to be the first shop we went into after getting off the train (BAD GIRLS!) I picked them up to point out they were a copy of previously mentioned shoes and my oh my, they were so soft. Oh and I'd picked up my size.... couldnt hurt to try them on?

I had no intention of buying them- ankle boots cut me off at the ankle making my short legs look even shorter, so it was merely for effect I tried them on... only to discover that due to the fitted shape at the ankle and the vertically aligned buttons... they didnt cut me off. And my goodness are they comfy!!

This is actually the SECOND pair of these boots. I loved and wore the first pair so much that they fell apart. Normally I'm an avid fan of repairs- a number of my shoes have been re-heeled or re-soled, I can never bring myself to throw away a pair. But the first pair were loved to death, the buttons came off, the heel worn down to the metal spike and the soles almost wore through... I shed a tear when I let those babies go. But I replaced them with the same pair so its all good :)

These shoes boots make me very happy. They may not be everyones cup of tea but I love them dearly and could happily sit and stare at them for a while. Hence the previous pair (RIP) were loved to death.

I love shoes that make you smile. It may be mid-January, my shoe funds may be well below the desired levels until pay day but these shoes, make me GRIN. Oh and the tights are Primarni (Read: Primark) I've also seen them in New Look and Boots.

Love always (and a hug today, why not)

Sundays! There is the distinct chance that I should make it my other new years resolution to actually leave the house on a Sunday (other than to go to the bins in the basement) In honesty, I did make it over to Sainsburys though (I even got... dressed! Shock horror) so I pulled out the Disney Westwoods (based on designs by Vivienne Westwood)

For some reason, when I offer people the chance to sniff these shoes they dont trust me enough to sniff them- I cant imagine why!! BUT they DOOOOO smell of strawberries! Still- even after several wears! I'm not sure why or how, but they smell like strawberries. They are supposed to I think, otherwise its a nice fluke!

They're also really cute and have Tinkerbell on the toe area. :)

These shoes came from Topshop and they came in their very own dustbag (to keep the strawberry fragrance fresh?!) they're sort of made out of a rubber type material, but they're lined to stop them getting less-than-fresh and they're very comfy.

NB Apologies for my pastey white legs, its been a bit chilly and ballet pumps in January was probably not my *best* idea ;)

14th of January 2012

Brrrrrrrrrr shivver me timbers its a cold one today! The news report stated it would be -6 degrees celsius! Very chilly indeed. So I decided to dress appropriately for the weather.

My Auntie and Uncle were in town this weekend and they were heading to Bletchley Park- its a place in the UK where during the second world war they worked to try and crack the enigma machines. They invited me along as well as I'd never been- it was brilliant! I didnt expect to learn anything (I'll be honest, I thought it was a park) but I loved learning about how the enigma machines worked.

I have to say I was very pleased I wore todays shoes (well, boots?) I bought these a couple of years ago when I was living in the Netherlands- we had a LOT of snow and I was sick of cold/wet feet. I figured some apre-ski boots might work and I'd always fancied a pair of moon boots. They do work perfectly in the very cold and also wet weather- they're lined so they're pretty much water proof (I wouldnt exactly walk through a river in them but you know what I mean)

Admittedly, they make my legs looks like a Bratz doll but my feet were very toasty all day long and I love my moon boots :D The socks are seperate (where the dark grey ends is the end of the boot)

These boots are by O'neill and I bought them from www.surfdome.com they dont make them in the same colour any more but they do have a lot of boots on that site. I've accidentally just clicked on it and there are now items in my basket... Still, with the British weather at least they'll get worn ;)

Spooooky Friday 13th!
The day started off brilliantly. I woke up feeling really refreshed and as if I'd slept really well... and then realised I'd turned my alarm off in my sleep and I had overslept by an hour! WHOOPS! So I had a rush to get ready for work and grabbed my pretty polly opaques, a jumper dress and some knee high boots.

The photo hasnt come out very well actually. These are either slouch or knee high boots in a suedette material with buckles round the ankle. I did try to take a better photo but my day lived up to its reputation! It did get better when I left work for the day though!

12th of January 2012

Woo hoo! Woke up feeling vile today. Very run down and worn out. :-( so what better way to cheer myself up than wearing very silly but very pretty shoes?

I first saw these shoes on BBC 1 actually- on the BBCs 'Over the Rainbow' programme where Andrew Lloyd Webber chose his new Dorothy for the wizard of Oz. I had no idea where they came from (I thought they'd been custom made) so when I saw them in green in Kurt Geiger I started putting pound coins into my shoe fund money box (shaped like a boot with a counter on the side for what you can afford) in the hope that I'd be able to get the green ones and look like the wicked witch of the west :)

Eventually, on my travels through Luton airport (sigh, Luton airport is my downfall) I saw these babies in Kurt Geiger... and joy of joys, they had my size! And to complete the package... they were in the SALE!!!!

A few weeks later, my idol (HRM) Dita von Teese was spotted wearing a very similar pair made by my other idol (HRM) Christian Louboutin. So these shoes must be worn with the ultimate amount of prancing about. You cannot wear these shoes without a theme tune. All day I have a theme tune playing in my head (I am a lunatic, given) and I prance about on cloud nine. And I dont care that I look as if I've got a screw loose because I am wearing beautiful shoes today. Sparkly!!!

Keep smiling, if nothing else it makes people wonder what you've been up to.

11th of January 2012

A coupla days later than planned but I'm feeling better and back in business. In honour of feeling like I'm actually alive (despite not being able to get away with a 16 hour sleep) I've put on one of the top 10. Or at leasts one of the top 20 pairs of shoes.

They're ridiculously high. The purpose of the blog/challenge is that I buy these types of shoes thinking- wow, they're great. Conscience/shopping buddy says 'but when are you going to wear them'. 'For work, to bed, to watch TV' I always answer. And then I put them on for work and think 'oh jeez, if I have to rush to a meeting I'll break my neck' and usually swap for a more 'sensible' pair. (sensible in the loosest term of the word) so today I'm wearing them. ALL DAY :)

These shoes were a treat for myself from Kurt Geiger at Luton airport (on the way to Amsterdam). When I say treat, I just wanted them and hadnt bought any booze, perfume or sunnies in the airport so figured I would restore the naughty/good balance. (and no I did not just buy one pair that day WHOOPS!) they were in the sale though. Its not all naughty naughty ;)

And to make up for effectively being useless at my shoe blog this week (so far) I've added some cute tights (Well I think they are) these are from River Island and are in the shops at the moment if anyone wanted to buy them. If you do buy them mention I sent you and they should send me shoes for my blog.

You can also see in this picture how high those heels really are. I feel like a giant!

10th of January 2012

As if the 9th of January wasnt let down enough, I spent the majority of the 10th of January asleep. After finally getting home from hospital and being prodded and poked, quizzed and harrassed, I needed sleep.

So when I finally woke up in desperate need to refuel I decided I could possibly make it over to Sainsburys (100feet away, would I make it?) *where are my violins?*

So the most battered, but cool with boyfriend fit jeans, trainers ever. K-swiss basketball trainers.

After re-fuelling and feeling a lot better (courtesy of the NHS's finest drip) I decided to have a nice long hot shower and freshen up the nail paint.

Feeling fresher and back in business. Bring on the heels.

9th January 2012

I have neglected you blog readers. I can only apologise. And give you my genuine reasons.
With every intention of choosing 5 shiny pairs of heels to wear to work this week I was struck down with a deadly shoe-blog-destroying illness. I'm not joking either- on Sunday evening I started vomiting. By Monday, I was in hospital with dehydration.
In a do-not-pass-go, do-not-collect-$200, I was sent directly to A&E. After a nice bout of food poisoning there were concerns about my kidneys as I hadnt been for a wee... I'll spare you the gory details and leave you with a nice photo instead.

The drip had to have a drip. Hats off to the nurse who finally found a vein. At the best of times its like trying to find a vein on Casper the friendly ghost but when I'm dehydrated?! Poor woman, I did feel bad for her. Well as bad as you can feel for someone poking you with a sharp instrument.

So the shoes on the 9th of Jan... well they were put on in a hurry, with the first socks I could find too, and shoved on trackie bottoms. I was so ill I didnt even do my hair or make up. So there we go...

my multi-colour pumas which I love dearly cos they're bright and colourful and comfy. :)

8th of January 2012

I feel like I should start todays shoe blog with an apology. Todays shoes need to be taken to a vet and put down. But I just cant bring myself to do it. They're the most battered trainers I've ever owned. (trainers, again, sorry 5 days of heels next week, promise) I dont really have any sentimental attachment to them either. So why am I wearing them?

Well- Its sunday. My movements today will be from the washing machine, to the clothes drier, to the couch, to the kitchen and eventually back to bed. In effect I'm not going to leave the comfort of my apartment. Well thats not strictly speaking true- I need to go downstairs to the bins, so I'll need some shoes for that. TADA! Battered old Adidas goodyears. A friend once told me 'they look like you stole them from a 9 year old boy' and they do.

So as I'm having a lazy day I'm wearing some lazy trainers. In theory I should have put some of the stilts on today that I cant walk in and hence probably cant comfortably wear for a whole day, but I feel that defeats the object somewhat. So thats what you're up against, brutal honesty!

As well as the trainers today I'm wearing some toe socks, since I'll be padding about in the house all day and I dont want cold tootsies. These should also go to footwear heaven as they have a bit of a hole in them (you can spot that in the photo) but oh well, I'm a slob today, what can I say! Come back tomorrow, I've got some beauts lined up.

On my final note for today you'll get to see one of the many shoe related things I live with. My door stops. In my apartment I have some big heavy doors that slam and drive me mad so I like to keep them open. What else would I keep a door open with?!?!?

Yes of course! Shoes! These little babies are from Dwell home furnishings. I just HAD to have them.

More tomorrow when my extreme case of lazi-ass-ness will have disappeared to make way for work! Well I suppose I have to support the habit somehow :)

Love always,
Tishoo xx
